Ability:Silver's primary ability is psychokinesis (often abbreviated PK), which is the ability to move things with his mind. He is able to use this ability in a number of offensive and defensive ways. The most common use of the ability is taking hold of and moving objects such as boxes, enemies, and even other characters. Silver can either set such objects down, throw them one by one, or throw them all at once. The number of objects Silver can hold at once is generally limited by the amount of energy in the PK meter displayed onscreen. Other uses of Silver's PK include paralyzing enemies and rivals (enabling him to hold and throw them), firing stun waves, temporarily confusing opponents by scrambling their controls, and even manipulating surrounding environments.

Silver isn't as fast a runner as Sonic or Shadow. However, he can also fly, despite having no wings or engine. It is assumed he uses his psychokinetic powers to lift himself. He is seen hovering in various cutscenes and also in the majority of his victory poses. Players of the 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog could use Silver's flight to warp quickly over short distances, and glide slowly over longer ones. Silver can also use the standard Homing Attack, Spin Attack, Spin Dash, and super transformation.

Bio:Silver the Hedgehog (シルバー・ザ・ヘッジホッグ , Shirubā za Hejjihoggu?) is a hedgehog from many years in the future of the main timeline. He first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog. His individual episode revolves around him traveling back in time with Blaze the Cat to find Sonic the Hedgehog, known to them as the "Iblis Trigger", who they believe is the cause of their world being destroyed in the future. Over the course of the game, Silver learns the truth about the "Iblis Trigger", and how his world can be saved from destruction.After the defeat of Solaris, the time-god born from the merge of Iblis and Mephiles the Dark, time was reset as if Solaris never existed. Due to this, Iblis and Mephiles were never born and Silver's future was never thrown into chaos. He is one of the main characters in Sonic Rivals and Sonic Rivals 2. He is unlockable in Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity.[63]He is also briefly seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, going around the loop in the background of Sonic's Green Hill Zone stage.[64]

Silver's primary ability is psychokinesis. He is able to levitate objects and use them as projectiles, levitate, and fly. He can also fire shock waves that temporarily paralyze his enemies. He is able to use many standard abilities similar to those of Sonic and Shadow and he can utilize Chaos Control in order to warp through time and space. He is able to transform into "Super Silver" by using the power of the Chaos Emeralds. His eyes turn red, his fur becomes a white gold color, and he becomes able to use a special "Shield of Light" to draw in and throw any object within a large circular field.

Silver was created in order to utilize the new physics engine added to Sonic the Hedgehog, and, while given similar gameplay elements to Sonic and Shadow, provides vastly different gameplay with his unique abilities. The design team developed over fifty different concepts for the character, including using Sonic's "scarf like hair" with more volume, which led to Silver originally being a mink. They felt that a mink wouldn't blend in with the rest of the characters, so they decided to make Silver a hedgehog instead. Orange was originally decided for his fur, but they soon decided on white-gray. While developing the character models and textures, they focused on using the hardware to develop the textures rather than just use white-gray, which lead to Silver's color and name.
